Run, Hide, Fight: Personal Protection Workshop
Active Shooter. This is a term that, sadly, gets tossed around far too frequently in our society. But what exactly is an “Active Shooter”?
The definition of an Active Shooter is an individual actively engaged in killing or attempting to kill people in a confined and populated area. Active shooters use firearms(s) and there is no pattern or method to their selection of victims. When faced with a dynamic situation, people maintain one of three core human responses: Fight, flight or fright. What would your reaction be? It may surprise you.
Put on by the Middlesex Community College Safety Team, this workshop offers an opportunity to learn best practices and enhanced lock-down procedures during an Active Shooter event. This is information you can use anywhere, providing an options-based approach, A.L.i.C.E., to protect yourself, family, and friends.
The Greater Lowell Chamber’s mission is to provide opportunities for our members through education, marketing, networking and advocacy.
