About Us

Merrimack Valley Food Bank is a community-supported 501(c)3 organization. Our mission is to help meet the need for adequate nutrition and freedom from hunger. MVFB provides nutritious food to up to 80,000 people a month through our own direct service programs and partnerships with over 100 member agencies, including food pantries, meal programs, shelters, schools, and senior centers. Our programs include grocery delivery for homebound seniors, in-school food pantries and supplemental food for students, a food rescue program to prevent food waste, and a free farmer's market at Lowell Housing Authority properties. Visit our website to learn more about all of our programs and how you can get involved. Last year MVFB distributed more than 4.7 million pounds of food!
